StoryMall Community Guidelines
1. Respect the StoryMall Community
It should be fairly obvious we're not asking for reverent supplication to any and all you might encounter within the
StoryMall Community. We simply ask that you behave as would be considered proper by a majority, in a public setting.
In other words, don't abuse our website. Every service we offer is with an understanding that there is a certain level
of trust. We trust you to responsibly utilize our service and you trust that we will continue to provide that service
in the best manner possible. We anticipate the need for millions of users to be courteous and respectful of the intent
of the StoryMall Community and we hope you can be one of them.
Here are a few common-sense rules to help you stay out of trouble:
- We encourage free speech and defend everyone's right to express unpopular points of view. But we don't permit hate speech
(speech which attacks or demeans any group or individual based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age,
veteran status, and sexual orientation/gender identity).
- Things like predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, intimidation, invading privacy, revealing other people's
personal information, and inciting others to commit violent acts or to violate the Terms of Use are taken very seriously. Anyone
caught doing these things may be permanently banned from StoryMall.
- Respect copyright. Only upload content that you have created or that you are authorized to use. This means don't upload
content you didn't create, or use content that someone else owns the copyright to, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted
programs, writings, artwork, or videos made by other users, without necessary authorizations. Read our Copyright Tips page
for more information.
- While StoryMall respects and defends our user's First Amendment rights, we have proceedures in-place regarding pornography or sexually
explicit content. Writings, artwork, music, and videos containing nudity, pornographic, or sexually explicit content must be properly
catagorized as containing such at the time of upload. Users requesting to view/hear such content must have clear warning of what they are
about to view/hear and must also confirm their legal right to do so by indicating they are at least 18 years of age, before the content
becomes available to them. Likewise, users with Basic (Free) Accounts will not be permited access to material deamed Explicit or Mature, in
an effort to reduce the possibility that children may have access to adult content. If content you have uploaded is flagged by users
or Editors as incorrectly catagorized, the content is subject to removal and your account could be temporarily or permanently suspended.
- StoryMall has a No-Tollerance policy regarding child exploitation. Be advised we will work closely with law-enforcement and report
anyone violating this policy. Please read our Safety Center page and stay safe on StoryMall.
- StoryMall is not a "Shock-Site". Graphic or gratuitous violence is not allowed. If your video shows someone being physically hurt, attacked,
or humiliated, don't post it. Also, Gross-out content (specifically images and videos) showing accidents, dead bodies or similar things intended to shock
or disgust as well as images and videos showing animal abuse, drug abuse, under-age drinking and smoking, or bomb making or anything StoryMall considers
similar is not allowed and should not be uploaded. Accounts in violation may be subject to content removal and/or temprary or indefinate suspension
of services.
- Everyone hates spam. Don't create misleading descriptions, tags, titles or thumbnails in order to increase views. It's not okay to post
large amounts of untargeted, unwanted or repetitive content, including reviews/comments and private messages.
StoryMall takes these rules and guidelines seriously and so should you. Don't try to look for loopholes or try to lawyer
your way around the guidelines - just understand them and try to respect the spirit in which they were created. If you'd like more
details, check out our Terms of Service page.
3. StoryMall Guidelines Will Be Enforced
Fair warning - we care! StoryMall will review flagged material and respond accordingly, be that recategorizing your content, removing material posted
or suspending accounts, either temporarily or permanently. We do this because in the event inappropriate material is being posted we have an obligation
and desire to protect the other members of this special community. Accounts violating our rules will be flagged and further research or inquiries
could be made. Frequent or severe abuse or violation of our terms will result in swift and appropriate action on our part.
Remember, StoryMall is created by our members. This is your community and you determine the content within. We encourage you to actively participate
and get involved.
- Have fun! There is lots of amazing content to check out so be enthusiastic about using our site - who knows, you may become famous, just
for sharing!
- Let folks know what you think. Feedback's part of the experience, and when done with respect, can be a great way to make friends, share
stories, and make your time on StoryMall richer. So leave comments, rate content, make and upload your own material, enter contests of interest -
there's a lot going on and a lot of ways to participate.
- You may not like everything you see. Some of the content here may offend you - if you find that it violates our Terms of Use, then click the
button that says "Flag" under the content you're reviewing to submit it for attention by StoryMall staff. If it doesn't, then consider just
clicking on something else - why waste time reviewing content you don't like?
We hope this covers everything you'll need to know to ensure you have a positive and enriching experience on StoryMall. Now get out there and
share your artistic side with the world!
- Sincerely,
The StoryMall Staff
